Musical Theatre/Keyboard
“Edd Caine joined Tettenhall Operatic Company in 2024 as Musical Director for Lehar’s operetta, Gypsy Love, and was then Musical Director for the annual Christmas concert, Festive Fayre, and a concert in March 2025, A Night At The Opera that brought together several former principal and current company members with a mixture of opera, operetta and songs from the shows. He brought the very best out of the company. All three events were extremely well received by audiences and our NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) reviewer, the latter nominating both Festive Fayre and A Night At The Opera for the West Midlands, District 7, Best Concert Award. We were delighted to win the award for A Night At The Opera. Edd’s quality of musicianship, attention to detail, enthusiasm and infectious sense of humour made him a very popular Musical Director. He has since become one of our go-to accompanists for rehearsals and keyboard player in the orchestra for our annual show.”
– Julian Souter, Chairman and Producer, Tettenhall Operatic Company“I have had the pleasure of working with Edd on a number of theatre projects where he has played keys for me. It’s always a huge benefit to have other experienced MDs in the band and Edd makes an invaluable contribution with his comprehensive musical knowledge and his astute ear. His playing is flawless, utterly reliable and always completely on the beat of the baton. He plays with real sensitivity and is able to complement the other players with his excellent sound choices. He is the consummate professional and a jolly nice chap too! Joe George, MD Redditch Operatic Society.”

“Edd has worked with us as a musical director in a mainstream school. He has demonstrated creativity and a passion for developing our performers. [He] has been able to create an inclusive environment where all performers have felt supported. He has helped our students to build confidence to extend both their vocal range and technique. Edd has worked successfully with both individuals and larger ensembles and has created the opportunities for students to be successful in delivering complex songs and harmonies [and] is a highly skilled and enthusiastic musician who has been an asset to music provision within our school. “
